The IB is supposedly the take it anywhere qualification. The IB students work a lot harder than a level students. I think even the universities are looking for high IB scores in preference to A levels.

It seems a great system to me. Not least for its CAS (creativity, action, service), which requires pupils to put a total of 150 hours (over 18 months) into art, sport and community work.
