In my opinion, video conferencing application misses the whole point of private tutoring. At least in primary and secondary level education, much emphasis is put on intimate teaching environment that is generated from "personal tuition". But to use video conferencing, it is not much improvement from classroom environment.

I feel in further education such as long-distance degree, professional qualifications and diploma perhaps video conferencing has better use.
