This is very interesting. I was only saying today to my partner that I would have studied abroad, in the US or elswhere, to be able to take more varied courses. However a UK degree in traditional subjects remains one of the best in the world. Six of one half a dozen of the other I suppose.

I would love to study abroad. I would have taken this option if it had been open to me. EU students can study anywhere in the EU. The only benefit to the EU as far as I am concerned.

The ERASMUS scheme is brilliant. It isn't just the states that people can study in. Not to mention NZ and Austalia. I would definately be more impressed by someone who had undertaken study abroad.

The sciences are an art. Perhaps I am being a little too esoteric. But honestly anyone looked at a snowflake recently.

Seriously, I wouldn't have travelled to the States for college, but NZ or OZ might be very apealing.

I have been thinking about this. Do you have to apply to a uni here that has an exchange program if you only want to do one year.
