Exclamation Copyright infingement

It surprises me that there seems to be a general lack of knowledge regarding copyright law. We all use images and other material from the web, but do you know the rules? It seems that only university staff really know what the deal is.

When using websites, not being able to find a copyright sign or policy does not mean that there is no copyright. Any published original material automatically acquires copyright statues ecause it has been published. In short unless a website says you can use its content, you can't without secific permission from the author/creator.

Apparently there are ‘Copyright Bounty Hunters’. They offer you information about people who have breached your copyright for a fee. You can be fined a huge amount if the copyright holder finds out about it.

The CLA better not come knocking at my house. Photocopy city! I should think I have half of a rainforest in my office. Interesting to see what the rules actually are. I haven't seen a copyright guide since uni.
