Question For those of you who tutor private candidates

I currently tutor a few private candidates for maths. A couple of retakes and an adult who needs maths to become a teacher. (yes I have warned her!) I teach the IGCSE and use my old school for the exam centre as I am on very good terms with them.

However because I use the school I have to stick to their timetable. I want to think about using the November sitting next year. Has anyone used private exam centres? Are they very expensive?

Cool you teach the IGCSE. you don't happen to know how colleges might view tham next yr? I might have to do the exams privately because the school might not let me back. (bad grades not anything dodgey) is it easy to register for them?

Lots of the private schools are opting to use them as they have no coursework and are reminicent of the 'o' level. (Way before your time) They certainly won't harm you in any way with colleges etc.
I like the Edexcel Maths IGCSE, it's the one I teach for my private candidates. I think it is the best Maths syllabus around. I don't know about other subjects.
