Just to let you know that a friend of mine is involved in the following collaboration of sites, it seems pretty comprehensive for primary kids. It was helpful when I tutored a friend's kid. (I normally tutor big people)

these are actually really helpful. Could either of you help with this problem? Is it okay to say minus 5? or should say negative 5? (when the answer is -5)

I say minus 5 because everyone knows what you are talking about. The only people who will tell you otherwise will be maths teachers. It isn't incorrect, you just have to be clear about your meaning.
