| | Welcome Hi,
This forum was set up to somehow give not only tutors but also students and parents a better overview of private education in the UK. It is an understatement to state that people of Britain are increasingly developing a distrust in public education as high-stake exam pressure mounts even more on pupils and parents.
With completely free and impartial online community environment we encourage you to start topics you wish to discuss and participate in others stories where you can contribute. In doing so we hope to solve information barriers for both tutors and tutees and move towards more competitive market conditions.
Thank you,

| | Tutoring Dear All
I agree with Andrew when he states that parents are becoming increasing concerned about education, given the amount of pressure on results. However, it is important to treat each student as an individual and to also inspire interest in the subject that is being taught. I am a very experienced tutor and teacher. I teach English literature and language. I have also taught Spanish, as I am a bilingual speaker, as well as art and art history (I completed two BA honours degrees, one in English and Related Literature and one in Fine Art). My students have benefited from a patient and caring approach. On average, they have also moved up a couple of grades (sometimes more). Ongoing one to one support makes a huge difference to a pupil's confidence and results.
I am usually fully booked, although the summer is very quiet. If anybody wishes to contact me about tuition, then please do so.
Yours Sincerely
Vanessa

| | Greetings Dear all,
Sounds like a good idea to have a website like this one. Currently, I've a teaching job in Canada. I'm thinking of starting my own tutoring business in a year or two, as it seems that there's a substantial market for it. I'd be glad to discuss various issues pertinent to tutoring with other fellow-tutors, parents and, of course, students. Regards, Smirnoff |
